As we begin preparing for the new school year, I want to take a moment to welcome you back to the Northeastern Clinton Middle School community. Having worked in our middle school for the past 13 years—first as a school counselor and most recently as assistant principal—I feel incredibly fortunate to continue serving our students, families, and staff as your Middle School Principal. I look forward to partnering with you to ensure every student has a successful, engaging, and positive middle school experience.
I would like to invite all 7th and 8th grade students and their families to our Middle School "Back to School" Open House on Tuesday, September 1, from 5:00–7:00 p.m.
This evening is designed to help students feel comfortable and prepared before the first day of school. Students and families will have the opportunity to become familiar with the building, meet teachers and locate classrooms. The evening will include:
5:00–5:30 p.m. – Arrival and Building Exploration
- Students may pick up schedules, visit classrooms, practice locker combinations, organize supplies, and become familiar with the building.
- Student leaders, counselors, and staff will be available throughout the building to assist students and families.
5:30–5:45 p.m. – Welcome in the Auditorium
- A brief welcome from the administrative team, introductions of staff, and important reminders for the start of the school year.
5:45–7:00 p.m. – Classroom Visits and Informal Meet & Greet
- Families are invited to visit classrooms, meet teachers, ask questions, and continue exploring the building.
- This portion of the evening will be informal and will not follow a bell schedule.
We encourage all students and families to attend, especially students who may want the opportunity to practice navigating the building before the first day of school. Whether your child is entering 7th or 8th grade, we hope this evening provides a positive opportunity to reconnect with our school community and begin the year feeling confident and prepared.
