NCCS District Goals

  1. Continue to build and strengthen a culture of high expectations and strong relationships within our school community.
  2. Routinely evaluate and enhance safety and security protocols for students and staff.
  3. The district will increase overall student engagement through consistent implementation of five-brain-ready strategies.
  4. The district will develop and implement a comprehensive Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) plan to improve academic, behavioral, and social-emotional outcomes for all students.
  5. The district will improve students’ chronic absenteeism by 2% each school year from 2025-2026 through 2027-2028.

NYS Portrait of a Graduate

The New York State Portrait of a Graduate outlines the knowledge, skills, and qualities students should develop to be successful in school, future careers, and life. It focuses on six key attributes: being academically prepared, a creative innovator, a critical thinker, an effective communicator, a global citizen, and reflective and future focused. The goal is to prepare students not only academically, but also to navigate challenges, build relationships, and contribute positively to their communities.
